I have suffered from adult acne since I was 21 and tried so many products, including prescriptions ones, that I have lost track. The only reason I bought this was because it was on sale at Target for 16.99 and I thought what the heck. My expectations were beyond low. To my surprise, by the next day, my blemishes have either cleared or the inflammations went way down. After a week, my skin was almost flawless. Needless to say, when I went on my trip to Asia, I bought it with me. I shared it with two of my cousins who were both suffering from severe adult acne. Two days later, both of them came back to me with amazing results. I would recommend this to anybody. I would however suggest that additional moisturizer is needed afterwards.

I'm 33 years old. I've had moderate to severe adult acne since college. I've tried everything from neutrogena to Mary Kay to Proactiv. I've even tried prescription cleansers and cremes. I bought this at a local Value City that was going out of business. It was marked down to $5 so I took a chance and bought 2. My expectations were very low. I've been using it every other night because it says to use it 2-3 times a week. The mornings after I used it my skin was so much better. Just last night I tried using it for the second night in a row. My skin was so clear this morning. Even my old scars were faded. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm thinking about trying it on a nightly basis for good. It has never dried out my skin so far. I hope Loreal keeps making this stuff. I wish now that I would've bought that 3rd and last $5 box on the shelf at Value City.

I just have got one question: Why can't you find this product anymore on the shelves of a drugstore? I looked for it everywhere, but I couldn't find it, so I was very happy to discover it at amazon. It's the best working product I've ever tried (and I've tried many!), it makes these painful, ugly acne spots get much less painful and red in just one day without drying out the skin too much. For me, it works just perfect!

I too can say that I've used all sorts of products on my stubborn acne ridden skin with frustration. After 10+ years of struggling I started using this product every other day to get the most amazing results I've ever seen. I wouldn't go as far to say it's a miracle cure, but used in conjunction with several other products (including those with benzoyl peroxide) along with a motorized scrub brush I swear I've never been more impressed. I think it's the combination of it's ingredients: glycolic and salicylic acids. One controls oil, the other rejuvinates skin. I wish someone had told me a long time ago that the key to succesfully fighting acne is to use a combination of chemicals. This product was the missing link!

I also don't find it to be nearly as harsh as it warns it can be and it's really nice to be able to use it so often without ending up with overly dry skin. That is a rarity among acne products.

I have had acne since my teens, I'm 31 and it got worse with the change in hormones. I have used every product out there including all the famous prescriptions. I bought this at a jewel osco when it was going out of business for $10. It worked a little by itself but not what I was looking for. After 6 months I tried it again because I was so frustrated that nothing is working. I used it every other day with my other benzoyl peroxide soap and differin gel. OMG! Every morning after I use it, my skin is softer the dark marks are fading. I love it! It just took the right combination of products, now I'm looking for more!

I have tried everything I can (including Proactive) to clear my skin. This stuff is great. I found it at Target and figured that it couldn't hurt to try. It worked amazingly!! Within a few days my skin was almost completely cleared up! This product works even better when used with the L'OREAL Severe Acne kit (it's the blue trimmed box).

im 28 and been suffering from acne since high school and have tried countless of products. some worked fine but after a couple of weeks no more effect at all. i found this product on sale at TJ maxx for $8.00 and decided to purchase it because of the cheap price. i wasn't expecting that much result really coz ive been disappointed in the past again and again but i was in for a surprise. when i woke up the next day i could evidently see the result, my skin felt smoother and the red blemishes are clearing. after two more weeks of continuous use, my acne is so much better. the packet says that you use it only 3x a week. but i use it every night and it's working perfectly, maybe it also depends on the type of skin you have. i still experience breakout from time to time but now im happier coz it's more controllable than before with the help of this amazing product. the only downside of this product is the difficulty of finding it in stores. i tried target, rite aid, and other pharmacies in the area but i didn't find any. i purchase this one online. simply can't live without it.

This is an amazing product. After reading reviews I decided to give it a try. I have mild adult acne since I was 25. I cover them with makeup, but they still bother me, especially when I can't sleep on my face when they are too active and too painful. My skin started going very bad tree months ago I was even thinking of spending some serious money on laser or some chemical peel, but I didn't know where to look. So, I bought this gods gift product and after using it for three consecutive days I have no more pimples, yay, all 15 of them were gone. Now in the normal mirror my skin looks clean, just when I use 5x I can see some black heads and some red patches, but hopefully no one else can see that :). I will now use it every other day and an estee lauder peel to scrub the dry layer of skin in between and use my normal moisturizer from aveda during the day. I am sooooo happy with this new regimen.

I like this. It really, really cleared up some of my acne. It wasn't a perfect product, but I did get some really good results. I use it every other day. I used to for three weeks before I got results. As soon as I started noticing results, it was immediate. Within 4 weeks, 85% of my ance was cleared.

I would not call this product an "end all, be all" for treating acne prone skin, but it is helpful in reducing outbreaks and treating skin at home. The peels used at the dermatologist or medspa are of far stronger concentration and therefore more effective, but this product is better than not having a peel to use several times a week.

well I bought this product about 6 weeks ago and untill using it last night realized I was using it wrong. The directions say do not leave on for more than 5 minutes which I assumed meant wash it off. Not untill I looked on the back of the bottle did I see it said DO NOT RINSE OFF!! just apply the neutrilizer after 5 minutes. So I will update my prgress after 6 weeks of doing it the RIGHT WAY!!

The product didn't help my acne at all! I've been dealing with acne for 21 years and still look for a way to get rid of it! After reading all the reviews here I decided to buy this product, but it did not work on my acne. Oh, well, each person is a person and the bodies will respond in different way to the same treatment. I wish good luck to whom it my interested.
