I have tried just about every lotion out there (save for those over-$10-a-bottle brands). For years I have been a fan of Nivea. Their lotions are quick absorbing and performed fairly well, but after discovering that Nivea lotions were loaded with parabens, I decided to switch. The first brand I tried was Eucerin, as it's always been touted as the best of the best for people with sensitive and itchy skin. Little did I know at the time that Eucerin was also made by Nivea and has even more parabens! I saw no difference between Eucerin and Nivea in that they both had about the same consistency and were fast absorbing. However, I did noticed quite a bit of itching after first applying the Eucerin. Pretty ironic for a lotion that's touted as "Dermatologist Recommended." After a trip back to the store I saw this Lubriderm on the shelf and decided to give it a try. It was the first Lubriderm lotion I had ever purchased and all I can say is WOW! This is by far the best lotion I have ever used! It's very thick but absorbs really fast. There is no scent and my skin has never felt this soft before. In the past, my skin would continue to flake in certain areas (my lower back) and I still had some dry spots (my elbows). All of that is gone with Lubriderm. My only complaint is that the pump leaves quite a bit of lotion in the bottom of the bottle, enough to last several more days. At about $7 a bottle, I wish Lubriderm would fix this. One bottle lasts me about 2-3 weeks. Other than that, I do not believe there is a better lotion out there.
