Reviews of RediBreeze, Oral Irrigator

1.) Exactly What I Was Looking For!!!

I used WaterPik's as a teen with braces and only now--many, many years later--have I taken up using one again. Though with far more features and attachments than before, I was disappointed with how low the pressure was from the Pik, even on the strongest setting. So I took the leap to try this RediBreeze and am thoroughly satisfied. It has all the pressure I want, possibly even as strong as those in a dentist's office, and the pressure is adjustable. My WaterPik won't go to waste since I'll use it for applying mouthwash, but my RediBreeze will be used for everything else!!! Thank you, Oral Breeze!

By Golly, this thing is really better than a Water-Pik! The water pressure is totally adjustable. It doesn't need electricity, and it takes up no counter space. We are very pleased with the RediBreeze. We just have to remember to switch it back to the faucet setting after the last person uses it!

3.) You can't go wrong here!

Surprisingly easy to install and use, not to mention the LOW price in comparison to a free-standing unit. The pressure is terrific and I can use warm water on my temperature sensitive teeth easily, without having to fill a reservoir every time. I just brush my teeth with the warm water and then switch over to the RediBreeze. Just remember to turn off the unit before you take it out of your mouth (or plan to clean your mirror!).

Forget WaterPick! It can't hold a candle to RediBreeze (my preference) or QuickBreeze. This product is so simple and yet so effective. No batteries needed, no reservoirs to keep filling, no counterspace necessary. I even travel with it - slip it into a small plastic bag.
A little messy on the first couple of uses, but you quickly learn to control it.

We have used many "water pick" type irrigators over the years. This little gem puts them all to shame. The design is ingenious, the quality of materials used is first rate and installation is very easy. Most importantly, the thing works like a charm and it does so without the noise associated with a motorized irrigator. An added advantage is that it can be packed easily in your luggage and used while you are away from home. We are pleased with the product and recommend it highly.

This product is so much easier to use than the motorized type that sits on your sink counter and where you need to keep filling the water reservoir. Just replace your existing aerator with the RediBreeze unit, and flip the lever up or down to switch between irrigator or normal flow. You control the water pressure and the temperature directly from the faucet. Couldn't be easier. Well designed product that does exactly what you expect it to.

I am VERY happy with the RediBreeze Oral Irrigator water jet. It is MUCH, MUCH better for me than the Hydra Floss that cost much more money and was VERY loud and temperamental to operate. One had to be a contortionist to operate the thing because to make mine work, I had to hold the water tank down firmly the entire time I wanted to irrigate. It was a mess and it took up too much space on the sink top. With the Redi Breeze, I just let it hang out looped inside itself (the stick-on holder is a joke) and it works just fine for me and is not in the way as I can simply use the lever to have sink water or to irrigate. It's perfect!

"Super customer service, as usual. Quick ship, item as described. One of the best sellers on Amazon. They also email you some great instructions/tips for getting your gums/teeth in shape! And my Oral Breeze works great! I LOVE the fact that I can control the spray force, and that I have a never ending supply of water. Glad I bought this rather than a "Water Pik."

Let me add a side note here. I also purchased an extra pair of "heads/tips", just in case family visits and wants to try the product. (My family loves to try new things!) Same fast shipping, customer service, email communication, etc.

I have a really old, cheap, contractors grade faucet, and had no problem getting the Oral Breeze onto it. All of the parts were in my box, including the adapter. (Which I didn't need after all, but glad I have as I'm planning on changing out that old faucet). And the quality/construction of the Oral Breeze is not some cheap plastic but rather metal. Nice heavy feel to it. The heads/tips take a millisecond to change from person to person. Easy Breezy.

I was simply amazed that after brushing my teeth with my nice electric toothbrush, there was still tons of 'gunk' flushed out of my teeth and gums with the Oral Breeze.

Any yes, it does 'tickle' a bit, but golly, you just turn the force of the water down until your comfort level is reached. It's not like you need to have it at jackhammer strength to begin with. Unless that's what you want. I personally don't want it that strong, but it WILL get there if you choose to 'go strong'.
I prefer a gentler cleaning. My water flow is almost at a trickle. My stream of water I prefer is about the size of a piece of angel hair pasta. And that still gives pretty good "force". But it's a personal preference. Just adjust the water flow out of your faucet if it tickles.

As far as "messy"...common sense dictates you have your mouth over the sink to begin with. You start the water faucet on low to begin with...in your mouth! Or at the least...you have the nozzle pointing down into the sink not up in your face, then turn it on! It's not a physics experiment! Just plain common sense. Start the water on low, then adjust. And I can live with a couple of drops of water on my chin, it gets there anyway when I rinse!

WELL WORTH IT to take 5 seconds to adjust the water spray. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product, and my child is just fascinated enough with it to actually USE it every night.

18.) A Superior Oral Irrigator

This oral irrigator is a superb invention - better than a counter space-robbing water pik. The built in handle allows you to adjust the pressure of the water-jet stream coming from the pik or return to water coming solely from your sink's faucet. It's made of strong material, not some chintzy chrome covered plastic. I would buy a second one for another sink in a heartbeat!

19.) Perfect for cleaning my braces.

I bought this before I got my braces put on, and am very happy I did. I don't like the idea of brushing fifty times a day just cause I ate some tiny bite of something. So I use this about 5 times a day. I like that I can keep the pressure low, just enough to clean all the food out. Then at night before bed I brush, and use this with higher pressure. Also using this after flossing is really great.

21.) The Ultimate in Convenience
Reviewed by: Happy User

I scoured the reviews, hoping there was something I would like better than the typical irrigator; mostly these have a tank to fill (and spill), and often have a poor reputation for longevity. The RediBreeze made sense to me, using your faucet water pressure and little else. In receiving it, I was blown away with its simplicity, especially the fact it had few moving parts that could go wrong. (A little pricey, I thought, for what it was.) I installed it within minutes. It is everything I could have hoped for. It is so easy to use, I find myself using it sometimes after each meal. It only takes maybe 30 seconds to a minute to get the whole job done. No filling a tank and running out of water. No leaks. No worries that the thing is about to crap out on you. My only concern would be that someone could use it with the water pressure up too high, potentially causing more harm than good to the gums. Unlike some irrigators, it does not have preset pressures; it's up to the user to set the pressure. So I would strongly advise to set the pressure at a comfortably lower level, so as not to cause damage. You could almost blast a hole in the wall at its highest pressure, so don't get carried away. Some dentists are skeptical about the use of irrigators for this reason.

I have had issue with my gums all my life, and sadly, in my 50's, am looking at partials in the near future

I just got this to protect what remains, and already I can detect a positive difference.

Waterpik slides on the counter, never seems to holds enough water in its reservoir, and needs to be plugged in. In my little apartment bathroom, I don't have a lot of outlets, and no counter top at the sink.

This attached easily, doesn't need to be broken down and stored the way the waterpik does, and has more pressure than I remember my old waterpik having. This feels like a professional cleaning. It's a solid metal fitting, not the chrome-plated plastic like you see so often

I agree, however, a foot longer tube would be better. I'm over 6 feet tall, and I have to hunch over a bit.

I've tried several oral irrigators (those with the water canister and even huge portables ones) and so far this is the best one. It's like a shower for your teeth. The fact that I can control the water pressure (you have to be really carerul with the pressure though, to much of it will harm your teeth) and temperature are a huge advantage, not to mention that I don't have to worry about running out of water... It will be nice if we could remove the hose from the adapter when not in use. Other than that this is an awesome product, it certainly leaves my teeth clean and my mouth fresh.

26.) "Pressure washer" for you teeth!
Reviewed by: Scott

I am completely satisfied with the purchase of this RediBreeze oral irrigator! I am an adult and just got braces 3 weeks ago...the RediBreeze was installed on my faucet before that big day. Installation was a snap - no tools were required since my faucet diffusor was on hand tight. This is my first experience with any kind of oral irrigator, so I can't compare it to any other brands; however, I can't imagine any other product working better than this at cleaning out teeth.

As my title says, it really is a "pressure washer" for your teeth. While I am at home, I can eat pretty much anything I want (within reason for braces) and not have to worry about food stuff stuck in my braces. As soon as I am done eating I head to the bathroom and fire up the "pressure washer" and flush out my mouth in less than a minute. In fact, it is a bit disturbing how much gunk is caught in your teeth after you eat :>)

In my opinion the RediBreeze doesn't replace flossing before bedtime, but I think it is an indispensable tool in the braces toolkit for keeping your braces clean after a messy meal. A word of caution though, DO NOT even think about turning this on with full sink pressure! I use a stream of water about a pencil width in thickness before I turn it on and have plenty of pressure to flush out my teeth. At full pressure, I'd probably cut a hole through my cheek! Also, remember to reposition the shut-off valve to turn off the irrigator BEFORE you shut off you faucet. If you don't and you turn the faucet back on with the RediBreeze valved in, you WILL shoot a stream of water across your bathroom and soak the opposite wall...ask me how I know :>)

In closing, I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a quick way during the day to clean out their braces or teeth after a meal to get back to a fresh mouth feel without having to brush and floss.

I've always loved keeping my mouth extra clean and RediBreeze makes that a cinch.

Not only do I have confidence with this product, but I know it will be with me for years to come at much less the expense. I can take it on trips. It has adjustable pressure, and cleans much quicker as well. I am so pleased. I don't have to fill a reservoir as this is easily attached to any faucet. And the price is so much lower than Waterpik products that never last very long. Thank you for providing a dependable product that will last and provide me with great oral hygiene for plaque removal.

Been using a Waterpik for a couple of years and it never really worked right...always had to fiddle with the water container to get it to flow at full power. No container with the RediBreeze since it hooks right to the faucet. Once you get the hang of how to use it after a couple of tries, its no brainer easy and it works just fantastic. Here's the cool part...I hooked it to my bathroom faucet for a couple of days and then realized that if I attached it to my kitchen faucet I could not only use it as an oral irrigator but also use it as a mini pressure washer for cleaning out drinking bottles and whatever else needed a super strong stream of pressurized hot water. I even stuck it down in the garbage disposal (not when it was on!) and swished it around to pressure wash the gunk built up in it. Is there no end to its use?!

30.) great device, but be prepared to buy nonstandard fittings locally
Reviewed by: Margaret CA USA
Rating:
The pros of this great device have been covered amply by other reviewers. For construction and operation, I give this device 5 stars.

It gets 4 stars for a very specific reason--the company did NOT provide the 13/16 adapter in the box as stated above in the product description. When I contacted them, they promptly shipped out a replacement part, BUT when it arrived it was the EXACT SAME too-large 15/16 piece I already had, not the smaller 13/16 adapter I needed.

So, tired of waiting, I got the required adapter at my local plumbing supply store and the device works great!
NOTE: if you have a nonstandard faucet, be prepared to get adapter part(s) locally. My plumbing supply guy said he sees ALOT of these devices and recommends bringing ALL the parts of the Redibreeze in PLUS your faucet's aerator part. Since I had all the parts, he was actually able to find me an adapter that cut out the 15/16 middle connector and made the total device hanging off my faucet one-inch shorter (helpful with our shallow sink).

Although this is a rather ingenious and well constructed product, it did not work for me. I am much more satisfied with my Water Pik
1. I couldn't use it in the sink in my master bathroom, because it takes too long to get warm water through the sink (don't even think of trying it with cool water). I found the large faucet adapter to be much too intrusive to use in the guest bathroom. I purchased a Water Pik because I can walk over to my kitchen sink where the hot water comes out immediately, and fill the reservoir.
2. Didn't come with mounting instructions, and I couldn't figure out how to mount it without the tubing being all over the place.
3. Prefer the Water Pik because it provides consistent pressure through the graduated dial rather than adjusting the faucet or valve on the unit. The water Pik packs up nice and tidily. This unit would really benefit from a stand where you could wrap the tubing and mount the attachment.
4. Gave the unit to my daughter, she uses it happily 3X a day.

38.) Messy, ticklish, pulsation better.

This was my first experience with an oral irrigator & wow, is it a messy learning curve. It took me about a week trying twice a day to finally get mostly comfortable with it. Plus, I'm not a ticklish person but I found the spray insanely ticklish!! The nice features are the water temperature & pressure control you get from connecting it to your faucet, and it's pretty quiet. The only serious drawback that I'd be concerned about, is that all the studies I've read & clinical periodontal books recommend pulsating action irrigators because they improve the tissue health the most. An irrigator's benefit is not from removing plaque, I can feel plaque still on my teeth afterwards no matter how high I crank the pressure, but rather from the massage/flushing action. Will I still use it? Yes, but I'd also be open to trying other models. Carranza's Clinical Periodontology
