This is an excellent and inexpensive option for maintaining clean lens, eyeglass and otherwise. The product works as well as a product I got from my optometrist at many times the cost.

These wipes work perfectly.
They work great on my glasses and my daughter's, even though her's get really dirty.
And they work great on our digital SLR camera.
Plus, they are about half the price (or maybe less) than the Bausch & Lomb wipes!
3.) This is the only thing I use to clean my eyeglasses

Great price on Amazon.

Each wipe is in a foil-lined wrapping, which makes them last longer because they don't dry out from sitting around. That's a nice touch.
It has to be remembered that these are WIPES...not wash-cloths. You take one out, give a wipe, and you're done. The wipe doesn't last any longer than that. If you expect more, then your expectations are unrealistic.
The box says "High-tech ammonia-free formula", so who knows what's actually in there. It's pretty clear that on my multi-coated filters, the wipe's solution hasn't damaged the coating, so I'd say it's plastic-safe. It probably is, or is a variant of, electronic contact cleaner, which removes grease, dries without residue, and is plastic-safe. I also use the wipe to clean spill-droplets off of my computer monitor (I'm a messy eater and it's a 30" monitor...lots of area to catch flying debris!) These clean the soft LCD without any problems.
I find that for lenses and filters, it's best to practice a motion that gets the entire lens as quickly as possible. Get the wipe off while it's still wet, and let the solution evaporate off.
I hate making waste, but I tried a lens microfiber-cloth once and it doesn't work. I was at the Grand Canyon and my lens was dusty. I wipe off the lens with the micro-cloth, and the lens looked like I hadn't touched it. So much for microfiber-cloths.
Oh, for dust on your lens, remember to follow the instructions on the packet..."lightly brush away dust and dirt with the folded wipe." Then you unfold and clean. Don't wipe dust into your lens.
Recommended.

These are nice cloths for cleaning my eyeglasses. I needed something that would be easy to carry and keep in various places (office, car, home).
I am very happy with them.
They have done a nice job preventing my lenses from fogging up in the cold weather here in Omaha.

These alcohol wipes are very nice in most instances for cleaning lenses of all kinds. They are very good for cleaning glasses and I also use them for cleaning photographic lenses.
If you are going to use them on photographic lenses (or even glasses) I recommend blowing any debris off of the lens first that might scratch the lens. If you do photography, purchase a Giotto bulb blower. They are nice because no moisture will come, but they work very well.
These wipes don't leave a lot of streaks, but I am very anal so with photo lenses I still end up using a Nikon lens cleaning kit afterward to make any lens spotless.
These are a convenience if you are going to just use them for glasses, but for photography I think they can be helpful if not downright necessary. You can take a bunch of them wherever you go so you can always clean off equipment. They each are wrapped in a paper and foil packet.
Very good product in my opinion.
I got these from amazon and the seller was very quick. Thanks.

The "Zeiss Lens Cloths" are just about the best and most convenient lens cleaner I have found. We use very high grade digital still and video cameras in our business and trust these cleaners to get the lenses clean without removing the protective coatings.
We also wear glasses and these also work great on them as well, leaving no streaking at all.
Highly recommended!

I started looking for eye glass wipes after purchasing a pair of pricey frames from your friends at lenscrafters. They provided samples of their inhouse brand of wipes, but those were gone in short time. I did not want to be slave to my local lenscrafters and was not able to find them online. There were some generic brands at the local CVS that worked okay, but my chain stopped carrying them, and I was going to be forced to use, computer monitor swipes. NO thanks.
I took a chance with these and have been pleasantly surprised. They have a nice amount of dampness to clean without just soaking everything, but they're not so dry that you wonder if they're old. They are individually wrapped which is bad for you environmentalist, but for me in between the office home and the car, you cannot beat the portability.
Most importantly they clean well.

I tried this product for cleaning my coated glasses. They scratched and left horrible streaks on the lenses. The directions say brush away debris and wipe until dry. Well, they are wet and you can not wipe until dry. You have to let them air dry which is probably why they leave the horrible streaks. Save your money.

I used this Zeiss lens cleaner cloth product on my expensive anti-reflective eyeglass lenses. The cloth scratched them horribly to the point where I will need new lenses. They claim to use special nonabrasive cloth but it's really just paper. (paper is made from wood and it scratches coatings) The solution is just alcohol and it leaves streaks also. Very dissapointed. Have tried other cleaning solution/ cloths most of them are paper also. I am looking for a true cloth either cotton or microfibre with cleaning solution that actually works.
